All bedrooms were refurbished and equipped with new luxury bathrooms between November 2012 and February 2013.

Since February 2013 we have:

2 Single rooms with en suite shower room
1 Standard double room with en suite shower room
5 Superior double or twin rooms with en suite bath or shower room
3 Deluxe double or twin rooms with en suite bath or shower room
All bathrooms have a shower over the bath.

All rooms have a flat screen television, free WiFi, telephone and coffee/tea making facilities.

Our private car park offers plenty of space for all our guests to park.

Grasmere is located in the heart of the Lake District National Park. You can choose from numerous walks which start from our doorstep. No need to use your car.

Local Attractions

Easdale Tarn walk, one of many easy and hard walks around Grasmere
This is a very popular low level walk, with an exceptional feel of being in the mountains, whilst an easy walk to follow but with a steep climb to Easedale Tarn itself, with some rough ground on the decent, depending on your return route. The Tarns outflow is Sourmilk Gill, named after the milky white waterfalls, which run east towards Grasmere. The Gill displays impressive water scenery when seen from Grasmere, and from the footpath to the tarn. On reaching Easedale Tarn you could continue on to Helm Crag, Sergeant Man, High Raise, Langdale Pikes and Silver How.

Dove Cottage in Grasmere
Dove Cottage was the home of William Wordsworth from December 1799 to May 1808, the years of his supreme work as a poet. The cottage used to be an inn called the Dove and Olive and many of the building's distinctive features date from this time; its white-washed walls, flagstone floors and dark, wood panelling.

Grasmere Ginger Bread Shop
This fascinating little shop was built in 1630 as the village school, and is where Wordsworth occasionally taught. In 1854 it became the home of Sarah Nelson's world famous original celebrated Grasmere Gingerbread. This unique and delicious gingerbread is freshly baked everyday to the secret recipe and is only obtainable from this shop or through the international mail order service.
